About the role
- Traverse assigned routes on foot to capture high-resolution imagery and spatial data of sidewalks, curb ramps, and pedestrian paths using DeepWalk equipment
- Scan and manually log sidewalk infrastructure issues such as trip hazards using DeepWalk's proprietary technology
- Use DeepWalk-provided iPhones to scan locations, may involve other portable scanning equipment
- Maintain high visibility by wearing a provided Class II safety vest while working near active roadways
- Attend formal check-ins
- Provide updates on the schedule for when work will be completed and ensure all required locations are captured with high accuracy
- Ensure all data is accurate and uploaded daily
- Other responsibilities related to scanning as deemed necessary
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma/GED
- Valid driver's license with a good record
- Comfortable using iOS/iPhones, GPS hardware, and basic cloud-based mapping apps
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting daily mileage targets
- Professionalism when interacting with curious residents or local officials in the field
- Engineering Students: Gain hands-on field experience in civil infrastructure (bonus points)
- Experience with framing, lighting, or geographic information systems (bonus points)
- Previous work in surveying, construction inspection, and other forms of data collection (bonus points)
