About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • You will work closely with our Product Manager and the tech team to bridge the gap between complex data and clinical decision-making processes.
  • You will refine the deepeye® TPS user interface, create prototypes for new features, and solve design challenges to ensure our AI outputs are intuitive and safe for ophthalmologists.
  • You will contribute to ongoing product discovery and help ensure our software fits seamlessly into clinical workflows and meets regulatory requirements.
  • From time to time, you will join us at events, medical congresses, or eye clinics to engage directly with ophthalmologists.
  • You will conduct interviews independently and recruit participants for our usability tests.
  • You will help reduce technical barriers by testing tools that optimize the handover from design to frontend.
  • You will support general design tasks to maintain a consistent visual identity across all our products.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • You are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, or a related field).
  • You are confident with UX/UI principles and prototyping tools.
  • You have an eye for detail and a passion for clean, user-centered interfaces.
  • You can translate complex clinical data into simple, intuitive visualizations.
  • You have basic knowledge of user research and testing and are comfortable approaching clinicians directly and conducting interviews.
  • Fluent German (C1/C2) for direct communication with physicians and good English (at least B2) for team communication.
