About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work closely with our Product Manager and tech team to bridge the gap between complex data and clinical decision-making.
Refine the deepeye® TPS interface by creating prototypes for new features and solving design challenges to ensure our AI outputs are intuitive and safe for ophthalmologists.
Collaborate on ongoing product discovery and usability studies to understand how our software fits into clinical workflows and to ensure regulatory compliance.
Coordinate with stakeholders (Clinical Success, Sales, Product Management, Clinical Affairs, and the CEO) to test designs with real users.
Help remove technical bottlenecks by evaluating tools that streamline the handoff from design to frontend.
Support general design tasks to maintain a cohesive visual identity across all products.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Currently enrolled in a degree program (User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, or a related field) that requires a mandatory internship (Pflichtpraktikum) as part of the curriculum.
Proficiency in UI/UX principles and prototyping.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating clean, user-centric interfaces.
Ability to translate complex clinical data into simple, intuitive visualizations.
Familiarity with basic user research and testing methods.
Working-level English (C1 or higher).
German is a plus but not required.
Prior experience with medical device software or designing for healthcare professionals is a plus.
Interest in "Design-to-Code" automation and technical workflows is a plus.
A portfolio that demonstrates your process, from research to high-fidelity prototypes is desirable.
