Internship UX/UI Design
deepeye MedicalInternship in UX/UI Design at a fast-growing HealthTech startup developing AI software for eye doctors. Collaborating on design solutions to improve patient treatment outcomes and clinical workflows.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work closely with our Product Manager and Tech Team to bridge the gap between complex data and clinical decision-making.
- Refine the deepeye® TPS interface, creating prototypes for new features and solving design challenges.
- Collaborate on continuous product discovery and design usability studies to understand software integrations into clinical workflows.
- Coordinate with stakeholders (Clinical Success, Sales, Product Management, Clinical Affairs, and the CEO) to test designs with users.
- Eliminate technical bottlenecks by testing tools that streamline the transition from design to frontend.
- Support general design tasks to maintain a cohesive visual identity across all products.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, or a similar field.
- Proficiency in UI/UX principles and prototyping.
- You have an eye for detail and a passion for creating clean, user-centric interfaces.
- Ability to translate complex clinical data into simple, intuitive visualizations.
- Working-level English (C1 or higher). German is a plus but not required.
- First experience with medical device software or designing for healthcare professionals (nice-to-have).
- An interest in 'Design-to-Code' automation and technical workflows (nice-to-have).
- A portfolio that demonstrates your process, from research to high-fidelity prototypes (nice-to-have).
