About the role

Represent Dedham Savings as a Community Reinvestment Act Loan Officer in the dedicated assessment area.
Establish and maintain relationships with realtors, housing authorities, and non-profit agencies.
Assist customers in securing mortgage loans and down payment assistance.
Administer the loan origination process.
Attract new loan prospects and referral sources.
Originate mortgage loans focusing on minority and low-to-moderate income borrowers.
Meet local realtors and organizations to establish referral networks.
Conduct first-time homebuyer seminars and events.
Assist with lead generation for community development loans.
Communicate effectively with customers and vendors throughout the lending process.

Associate’s degree or its equivalent through specialized coursework and training.
Five – ten years of sales experience within a lending environment.
Strong sales ability.
Good working knowledge of residential lending.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge of mortgage guidelines (FNMA/FHLMC/MHFA).
Excellent communication skills and personality oriented toward sales.
Ability to organize time and work independently and to cooperate as a team member.
Knowledge of HMDA and CRA regulations.
Prior experience reviewing transactions and filing documentation for compliance with applicable regulations.
