About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide comprehensive inpatient psychiatric and medical support in accordance with military and civil service standards
  • Deliver direct patient care and monitor vital signs
  • Assist with procedures and maintain safety and infection control
  • Support daily living activities
  • Ensure accurate and timely medical documentation in compliance with BAMC policies
  • Perform patient assessment and monitoring, including recording vital signs and observing patients for distress
  • Assist in providing patients with information regarding self-care and therapy
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers during examinations and procedures
  • Maintain the cleanliness of patient environment and adhere to safety and infection control policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned within skill set

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Certificate
  • Completion of a state-approved CNA program
  • Successfully passed state exam
  • Registered in the Nursing Assistant Registry certified by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Must maintain a current, active, valid and unrestricted/unencumbered certification from any U.S. state or jurisdiction to work as a CNA
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in the last two years in the required specialty under supervision of a Physician, LVN and/or RN
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
