About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Validate new features against development priorities and acceptance criteria before they reach production.
- Confirm that released features function as expected across supported environments and use cases after each deployment.
- Execute regression test suites to ensure existing functionality is not broken by new changes.
- Write clear, reproducible defect reports with supporting evidence such as steps to reproduce, screenshots, and log excerpts.
- Monitor defect lifecycles in the team's issue-tracking system, updating statuses and logging resolution details throughout the fix cycle.
- Partner with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and provide early quality feedback.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving
- Clear written communication skills for defect reporting and documentation
- Ability to manage multiple testing tasks and priorities in a fast-moving development environment
- Can work independently and solve problems on your own
- Prior exposure to manual or exploratory software testing (Nice to Have)
- Experience with automation testing workflows and tools (Nice to Have)
- Familiarity with issue-tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar (Nice to Have)
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) or Agile/Scrum methodologies (Nice to Have)
- Experience using browser developer tools or mobile device testing (Nice to Have)
