About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner day-to-day with the Product Manager to learn from customers, shape solutions, and iterate quickly
Write code and own technical execution of the product area
Own technical quality end-to-end through architecture, code review, testing, monitoring, rollback planning, and technical guidance
Adopt AI-native development practices
Build a product end-to-end while staying hands-on in the code
Understand customer problems and turn them into shippable software
Help define and grow the engineering team as the product scales
Set the technical bar, product pace, and quality standard
Report to the VP of Engineering

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years building production systems
Strong backend architecture experience
Experience shipping production SaaS software end-to-end
Strong product sense and interest in partnering with Product
Ability to understand customer problems and communicate with customers, peers, and leadership
Judgment on when to move fast, invest in robustness, or simplify
Comfort working across the stack, including frontend, infrastructure, or tooling
High ownership mindset and ability to drive outcomes
Experience with Python, Django, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, Vue, AWS, or similar technologies
Experience shipping AI-powered features
Experience leading a team or major technical project
Experience mentoring engineers and reviewing others’ work
Ability to provide technical direction through architecture, code quality, delivery standards, and clear tradeoffs
Strong judgment on when an LLM is the right tool
Permanent authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
Must not rely on student visas, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, or other temporary employment authorization programs
