About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate as a member of a project team comprised of PMs, Buyers, Customer Service, and others to complete conveyor and material handling projects
  • Own and manage all engineering-related project tasks, including engineering schedules, budgets, and engineering change orders
  • Lead conversations and drive results with vendors and suppliers to review and evaluate system and equipment designs
  • Review customer specifications and confirm adherence during the design process
  • Provide technical support for the engineering process
  • Use AutoCAD and other drafting tools to complete system reviews
  • Lead and mentor members of the Engineering and Purchasing teams as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related area
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Navisworks
  • Working knowledge of Inventor or other tools is a plus
  • Familiarity with standard engineering concepts, practices, and procedures, particularly in the material handling industry
  • Ability to apply creativity and latitude to solve problems
  • Ability to evaluate and accept project tasks with minimal direction while meeting project timelines
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or managing other team members
  • Ability to work well with others and maintain a positive attitude
