About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with sales, project management, engineering and consulting to design and implement comprehensive test plans to evaluate the performance, durability, and safety of material handling equipment
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret test data, using statistical tools to identify trends, anomalies, or areas for improvement
  • Identify root causes of failures or performance issues and collaborate with design engineers to develop and test solutions
  • Ensure all material handling equipment meets or exceeds industry standards, company quality criteria, and customer expectations
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with equipment suppliers, procurement, and quality assurance teams to integrate testing results into all phases of the product lifecycle
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in testing engineering, specifically with material handling equipment or similar industrial products.
  • Experience managing large systems and physical programs including PLC/WES/WCS conversions, launches, and automation go-lives.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and statistical methods.
  • Proficient in using testing equipment, data acquisition systems, and related software tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of working in multidisciplinary teams and presenting technical information clearly.
  • Knowledge of industry safety standards and regulations related to material handling equipment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
