About the role

  • Participate as a member of a project team comprised of PM, Buyers, Customer Service, & others in order to successfully complete conveyor & material handling projects.
  • Own and manage all engineering-related tasks on a project, including maintaining engineering schedules, budgets, & tracking engineering change orders.
  • Support in person meetings with customers or vendors near the DCS office (Franklin, TN) and occasionally in a customer’s office or job site
  • Interact with customers, vendors, and other suppliers to review & evaluate system & equipment designs.
  • Provide technical guidance during detailed design to best industry standards
  • Perform engineering design evaluations and work to complete projects with direction from Project Team Lead.
  • Review customer specifications to confirm adherence to these during design process.
  • Provide technical support for the engineering process.
  • Use AutoCAD and/or other drafting tools to complete system & detailed design drawings.
  • Check drawings produced by others for accuracy.
  • Work a hybrid office schedule with an average of three days per week in the DCS office (Franklin, TN).

Requirements

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related area.
  • You are proficient in AutoCad; working knowledge of Inventor or other is a plus.
  • You have 4+ years of MHE execution design experience [with a focus on Amazon]
  • You are familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within engineering, particularly in the material handling industry.
  • You excel in collaborative in person environment as well as a remote setting, and are excited to be a part of our local team of experts
  • You can apply some degree of creativity and latitude to solve problems.
  • You are able to accept project tasks with minimal direction, understanding delivery is based on project timelines.
  • You have experience in leading, mentoring, or managing other team members.
  • You work hard, you work well with others, and you’ve got a positive attitude
