About the role
- Design and implement core blockchain protocols with zkVM integration for verifiable AI agent execution
- Define smart-contract standards and on-chain agent interfaces (analogous to EVM ABIs)
- Build and optimize high-throughput, low-latency node software in Rust
- Architect P2P networking, consensus mechanisms, and state synchronization tailored for AI workloads
- Develop and audit smart contracts for agent registration, staking, and on-chain governance
- Integrate multi-agent orchestration frameworks (e.g., CrewAI, MCP) into the blockchain runtime
- Create backend services and APIs (REST/GraphQL) to interact with nodes and agents
- Implement monitoring, observability, and analytics pipelines to track chain and agent performance
- Partner with AI engineers to optimize gas models, transaction batching, and resource metering for agentic use cases
- Research emerging Web3 and zero-knowledge technologies to keep our stack cutting-edge.
Requirements
- 5+ years building or auditing blockchain protocols, smart contracts, or node infrastructure
- Deep practical experience writing and maintaining large-scale Rust applications
- Hands-on with zero-knowledge VM design or implementation (e.g., zkEVM, zkWASM)
- Solidity or ink! proficiency; familiar with security best practices and gas optimization
- Strong background in backend engineering (Node.js, Go, or Python); building scalable APIs and services
- In-depth understanding of consensus algorithms, P2P networking, and state replication
- Proven track record working in decentralized environments; familiarity with staking, governance, token economics
- Solid grasp of multi-agent systems, agent orchestration, or integrating AI workloads with on-chain logic
- Experience with CrewAI, A2A protocols, or MCP server development (nice-to-have)
- Familiarity with on-chain verifiable computation frameworks and trusted execution environments (TEEs) (nice-to-have)
- Background in building RAG frameworks, vector search, or other AI-powered data services (nice-to-have)
- Contributions to open-source blockchain or zero-knowledge projects (nice-to-have)
- Thrives in ambiguous environments and independently drives solutions
- Clearly articulates complex blockchain and AI topics to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Values teamwork and contributes to a culture of shared ownership
- Passionate about staying current with Web3, ZK research, and AI advancements.
