About the role
- Supports identification of analytical opportunities by performing exploratory analyses and initial data assessments to inform business hypotheses.
- Collaborates in formulating hypotheses and simple tests, using basic statistical techniques and machine learning tools with support from more experienced colleagues.
- Performs data preparation, cleaning, and transformation tasks, ensuring the quality and consistency of data used in models.
- Participates in building low-complexity predictive models, assisting with parameterization, validation, and documentation of results.
- Interacts with data analysts and engineers, learning about data flows, architecture, and best practices for versioning and reproducibility.
- Documents deliverables in a clear and organized manner, contributing to traceability and the team's collective learning.
- Actively participates in the Data Science chapter, adopting standards, tools, and processes, and demonstrating a desire to grow technically.
- Communicates results objectively, with support from more experienced colleagues, adapting language for technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python for developing machine learning models.
- Basic understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques.
- Familiarity with Databricks for data engineering and machine learning workflows.
- Knowledge of data virtualization tools such as Denodo.
- Basic understanding of Teradata for data storage and querying.
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues in machine learning pipelines.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with data scientists and engineers.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Attention to detail in model monitoring and performance evaluation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
