Technical Network Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conceptualize and document network topologies (LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Data Center)
- Harden network perimeters by designing redundant firewall clusters, robust identity management (802.1X/TACACS+), and zoning strategies
- Plan systems for optimal traffic routing, bandwidth allocation, and fault tolerance
- Work with telecom providers, third-party managed services, and hardware vendors for circuit delivery and infrastructure procurement
- Oversee the lifecycle of network rollouts, from initial design and budgeting to deployment and post-implementation review
- Act as the ultimate escalation point for complex network outages, routing loops, and critical performance degradation
- Design robust Wi-Fi networks (Wi-Fi 6/6E/7) utilizing centralized Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs), cloud-managed platforms, and virtual controllers
- Create and maintain comprehensive design diagrams, as-built drawings, and configuration templates.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 10 years of experience in network engineering, implementation, and operations
- Strong hands-on experience in enterprise and/or data center network environments
- Experience in global enterprise, large-scale environments, or consulting firms (e.g., Big4) is an advantage
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and deliver end-to-end solutions
- Experience in network design, planning, and project implementation is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VXLAN, EVPN, and VPNs
- Hands-on experience with routing/switching (e.g., Cisco, H3C, Aruba) and next-generation firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point)
- Deep expertise in systems like Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN (Viptela), VeloCloud, Fortinet, or Aruba SDWAN
- Implement and maintain secure wireless access methods, including WPA3-Enterprise, 802.1X authentication, RADIUS servers, and Guest Portals
- Strong grasp of foundational network concepts like VLANs, DHCP, 802.1q trunking, PoE (Power over Ethernet) budgets, and basic routing
- Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana, ELK)
- Familiar with IPAM, configuration backup, and automation/orchestration tools
- Industry-standard credentials such as CCNP/CCIE (Cisco) or Network/Security Cloud Certifications are highly preferred.
