About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Process and post New and Used vehicle sales (Average of 250 deals per month).
- Record and monitor revenue and cost of sales as related to vehicle sales
- Calculate commissions owed and submits to payroll
- Maintain and reconcile accounting schedules relating to vehicle sales including but not limited to receivables, payable and inventory schedules
- Works with Sales Department to obtain required documents
- Communicate with upper management, various sales team members, and department managers
Requirements
What you’ll need- HS Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience working for a dealership accounting or admin department
- Understand the process and flow of a deal
- Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)
- Understanding of balance forward and aging schedules
- Experience with Dealer Management Systems; Proficient in all Microsoft suite- must know how to leverage Excel for accounting
- Able to work independently while also being a collaborative, team player with a result driven approach in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, programs and methodologies, and Dealer licenses
- Curiosity, creativity and effective research skills
- Self-driven, analytical thinker with effective organizational and planning skills
- Must maintain high level of discretion and confidentiality
