About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and analyze general ledger accounts including balance sheets, income statements, and account reconciliations.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and working papers for external accountants.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in financial data.
  • Contribute to financial analysis including variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with team members and operational departments to resolve accounting-related issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and support operational efficiency.
  • Other related duties as required.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrated proficiency in full-cycle accounting, with increasing levels of responsibility over time.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar accounting software is an asset.
  • Willingness to work evenings or weekends as required by deadlines.
