About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Specialist, Strategic Membership & Partnership, is responsible for recruiting, engaging, and retaining members.
  • This role will close memberships, bring into Communities, onboard for membership benefits, secure participation in GTIA Community events, and engage members in multiple member benefits and resources.
  • They will also work collaboratively on community activities, such as focusing on growing regions and assisting exhibitors for our GTIA Member and Partner Conferences.
  • Assumes responsibility for all existing member contacts in the assigned territory. Must demonstrate the ability to relate, respond, and interact with prospects to develop lasting and productive relationships.
  • Understands and communicates value propositions to key members and prospects, closing new company memberships.
  • Identifies and defines member business needs, determines appropriate GTIA Community solutions, and develops proposals for review and engagement.
  • Diligently creates and pursues sales leads, including leveraging other GTIA Community support resources as required.
  • Successfully and professionally delivers presentations to key prospects through face-to-face meetings and virtual platforms.
  • Coordinates any GTIA Community resources that are deployed to retain the member and increase the overall mindshare throughout the member organization.
  • Engages members and prospects to develop a strategic roadmap of GTIA Community programs and services to meet their business needs.
  • Ability to present an overview of member benefits and create a positive member experience.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree preferred but not required for the role
  • 3+ years of direct experience in the related field
  • Must be based in the ANZ or ASEAN regions
  • Strong cold‑calling, outbound sequencing, and pipeline‑generation skills with high activity levels
  • Superior Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word skills required
  • HubSpot, or other CRM experience
  • Microsoft Teams, Zoom (meeting and webinar formats)
  • Superior interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  • Superior customer/member service ethic
  • Outstanding level of attention to detail and quality
  • Proven ability to work directly with C-level member contacts
  • Proactive with a high degree of intellectual curiosity and a self-driven learner
  • Ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met, and resources are allocated effectively
  • Travel as required (approx. 40%), including occasions outside of normal working hours, e.g., networking opportunities that take place in the evenings
