About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create/develop custom proposals
- Reserve/confirm vendors, maintaining open communication throughout the proposal and contracting process
- Generate Letter of Agreement (LOA) s and contracts
- Create/update sales kits and promotional materials
- Provide program support (sometimes on-site) as needed
- Manage and develop vendor library through research (product development)
- Build strong relationships with customers (internal and external) and vendors/suppliers
- The position is primarily M-F, 8:30am-5:00pm, however, flexibility is important (evenings/weekends may be required)
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1-2 years’ experience in the DMC industry and/or event planning preferred
- In depth knowledge of destination
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills including decision making, time management, and task prioritization
- Manage concurrent projects in deadline driven environment. Must possess the ability to multitask, perform efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Detail oriented, resourceful and able to work independently as well as with a team
- Self-starter who can work with minimal direction at tasks with a sense of urgency and dedication to accomplishing them
