About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain matter databases and record updates for precedent, marketing, and business development purposes
- Draft matter descriptions for M&A and Private Equity-related deals
- Prepare M&A league table submissions
- Prepare deal lists for pitch and submission opportunities by matter type, geography, and industry
- Update print and digital marketing materials
- Coordinate legal directories, awards, and industry guide submissions, including Chambers, Legal 500, and IFLR
- Research existing and prospective clients, competitor activity, and market trends and opportunities
- Assist with content development for presentations, proposals, and pitch materials
- Assist with conference and event participation
- Support special projects for the Business Development team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work confidently and collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to maintain professional composure in high-pressure situations and a fast-paced, multi-authority environment
- Highly motivated, responsive, and conscientious, with a commitment to excellent client service
- Sharp eye for detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Finance, Business, or Marketing preferred
- 1–3 years of business development or marketing experience at a law firm or professional services firm
