About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze system logs and independently diagnose system issues in the field
Debug network issues (Wi‑Fi, DNS, LTE connectivity)
Evaluate and optimize power consumption and thermal management of embedded hardware
Integrate and maintain communication modules (Wi‑Fi, LTE)
Further develop and maintain our Yocto-based BSP/operating system for embedded devices
Create and maintain build pipelines for embedded Linux images
Work closely with the software architect and the existing development team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven professional experience in the embedded Linux environment
High degree of personal responsibility
Deep Linux knowledge (kernel, systemd, logging, debugging)
Experience in network diagnostics (Wi‑Fi, DNS, routing, firewall)
Understanding of embedded hardware topics such as power consumption, heat dissipation and resource constraints
Experience with Yocto/OpenEmbedded and BSP creation
Proficient with shell scripting and common Linux tools
Good German and English language skills
