About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate peer-to-peer calls between Treating Providers and Independent Physician Advisors
  • Obtain availability from Treating Providers and/or Independent Physician Advisors
  • Coordinate calls while accounting for differing time zones
  • Use calls, email, and text to coordinate peer-to-peer discussions
  • Work with the CSR team to facilitate conversations based on received availability
  • Address Window of Opportunities received from clients or Treating Providers
  • Input and track referral notes for all correspondence between staff, Treating Providers, and/or IPA reviewers
  • Frequently update clients on scheduled, pending, and missed calls
  • Process physician-office faxes within 2 hours of receipt to coordinate calls with reviewing physicians
  • Log availability, upload faxes into referrals, and update the availability tracking sheet
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned based on business needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s Degree is preferred
  • Business experience in a healthcare and/or insurance setting is preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Clear understanding of company business lines
  • Critical thinking ability
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and meet specific deadlines
  • Computer literacy
  • Typing skills
  • Ability to supply and support personal internet services for work from home
  • Maintaining an uninterrupted internet connection is required
  • Ability to work long periods sitting and using a computer
