Orthopedic Spine Surgeon – Medical Reviewer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate medical records and prepare concise clinical summaries
- Provide independent medical opinions in response to specific questions posed by clients
- Conduct thorough medical record reviews on orthopedic spine conditions, injuries, and treatments
- Participate in peer-to-peer discussions when necessary
- Answer client-specific questions regarding orthopedic spine diagnoses, treatment plans, and surgical interventions
- Apply current clinical guidelines and standards of care to all reviews
Requirements
What you’ll need- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship training and significant experience in Spine Surgery preferred
- Current, unrestricted Tennessee medical license
- Active clinical practice or recent experience in orthopedic spine surgery
- Minimum of 5 years of post-residency clinical experience
- Ability to attend required orientation and training sessions
- Maintain all applicable licensure, certifications, credentialing, and professional requirements necessary to perform reviewer services
