About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform imaging activities for laptops and desktops
  • Install new laptop and desktop computers across a site
  • Install network and local printers and scanners as required
  • Perform physical inventory of IT assets
  • Track and manage IT assets throughout their lifecycle, including receiving, deployment, change maintenance, and disposal
  • Keep the inventory system of record up to date
  • Assist with and monitor laptop image deployment to devices
  • Provide technical support for deployment tasks
  • Document actions and solutions performed with or for clients
  • Stage equipment at user locations throughout the target site
  • Restore backed-up data and user profiles to new devices
  • Support asset disposal by removing assets from service and staging them for shipment or vendor pickup
  • Verify imaged devices have the correct image, applications, settings overlays, patches, and updates
  • Perform domain registration, Active Directory configuration, and GPO deployment where applicable
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on government customer needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as an Asset Management Technician or Refresh Technician
  • Must hold an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain agency suitability clearance
  • Experience installing software on laptop and/or desktop computers using established processes and procedures
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to provide top-notch customer service to end-users
  • Self-starter, dependable, and reliable
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Commitment to excellence, strong sense of urgency, and dedication to client satisfaction
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized
  • Ability to prioritize work and multitask
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Working proficiency with standard ticketing and inventory management tools, such as ServiceNow
  • Ability to move or handle equipment weighing up to 30 pounds
  • One or more industry-standard certifications such as A+, Security+, or Network+ preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in an analytical role preferred
  • Experience working with inventory management preferred
