About the role
- Provide support for the planning and scheduling of maintenance work utilizing the Enterprise Asset Management software (EAM) as the primary tool.
- Maintain accurate asset records, standard job plans, job histories, work order closure, preventive maintenance activities, and maintain associated records.
- Report on maintenance activities through key performance indicators.
- Review work requests (WR) to ensure that all necessary information is entered, information is clear and provide timely feedback on status and information to requester.
- Prepare detailed work order packages as needed for maintenance work and capital project work to include craft requirements, tools and equipment requirements, clearances and permits, work methods, plans, specs and/or manuals, and identify need for coordination instructions for cross-craft, foreign utilities, or outside services.
- Assist in developing and updating equipment master records, including parts lists, inspections, preventive maintenance (PM) requirements, and all associated asset data.
- Determine material and parts availability as part of the work order planning process. Originates stores requests and purchase requisitions as needed.
- Review scoped work orders with maintenance management & forepersons to ensure agreement with scope, methods, time & craft requirements before scheduling. Assists in work schedule development and planning.
- Estimate the cost of all planned maintenance work using historical information, applicable standards, and personal judgment.
- Assist in the development and systemization of new PMs/PdMs required by new equipment. Support and promote overall work management philosophy for existing equipment.
- Recommend to management/stores personnel appropriate min/max levels, especially for increasing/decreasing requirements and for new stock items.
- Act as a member of a team to evaluate, recommend and document procedures and initiatives that provide for the efficient operation and maintenance of equipment and systems.
Requirements
- Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or other relevant engineering field, or other degree relevant to electric utility operations is preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in electric utility operations and/or scheduling and planning is required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Knowledge of the operation, maintenance, design and construction of electrical transmission facilities and related equipment.
- Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels both internally and externally.
- Awareness of pertinent regulations, codes, and standards.
- EAM/CMMS experience
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Dynamics365, Microsoft Power BI, ESRI ArcGIS
- Ability to multitask with competing demands
