About the role
- Drive the technical roadmap for Trust & Safety tools: content detection, workflow automation, moderation, dashboards, and alerting.
- Design and build backend systems using a microservices architecture.
- Design and build API-centric systems using REST, GraphQL, and OpenAPI standards.
- Design and build queuing and event-driven systems.
- Participate in legacy system modernization and incremental migration strategies.
- Proactively propose and implement evolutions and improvements.
- Design pragmatic, high-impact solutions by optimizing resources and prioritizing based on business value.
- Leverage AI to improve automated detection of problematic content (violence, hate, spam, etc.).
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Tech Lead, ideally in a high-traffic tech environment (social media, video platform, etc.).
- Strong backend expertise, with a solid understanding of frontend concerns and internal UX.
- Comfortable using generative AI tools across the development cycle (detection, automation, code assistance, etc.).
- Pragmatic, impact- and solution-oriented mindset; able to balance speed, efficiency, and scalability.
- Interest in Trust & Safety topics (moderation, ethics, compliance, automation, etc.).
- Professional proficiency in French and English.
