Requirements

  • We are looking for a Web Application Firewall Engineer with hands-on experience managing and optimizing Akamai WAF solutions. This role will focus on protecting web applications, tuning security rules, and supporting global clients in English-speaking environments.
  • Responsibilities
  • - Configure, manage, and optimize Akamai WAF policies
  • - Monitor web traffic and investigate security threats and anomalies
  • - Tune rules to reduce false positives while maintaining strong security
  • - Collaborate with application, cloud, and security teams
  • - Support incident analysis related to web application attacks
  • - Document configurations, processes, and security findings in English
  • Requirements
  • - Experience working with Akamai WAF or Akamai security products
  • - Strong understanding of web security (OWASP Top 10)
  • - Knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TLS, and CDN concepts
  • - Experience in cloud or DevSecOps environments
  • - Advanced English communication skills
  • Nice to Have
  • - Akamai certifications
  • - Experience with other WAF solutions (Cloudflare, F5, Imperva)
  • - Scripting or automation experience
