Requirements
- This project focuses on building and optimizing a robust data infrastructure to support analytics and reporting on Microsoft Dynamics CRM data.
- The role involves connecting to MS Dynamics CRM data in Dataverse, leveraging Microsoft Fabric to build ETL pipelines into Azure Data Factory and a Data Lake following a Medallion Architecture.
- The Data Architect will model CRM data for analytics and enable Power BI reporting layers to deliver actionable business insights.
- Architect and implement end-to-end data pipelines from Microsoft Dataverse using Fabric and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Design and deploy scalable infrastructure components using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Develop and optimize Medallion Architecture layers (Bronze, Silver, Gold) within the Azure Data Lake to ensure data reliability, scalability, and reusability.
- Model CRM and sales data for analytical and reporting purposes, ensuring schema alignment and data quality across sources.
- Integrate Power BI for visualization and analytics, enabling business users to derive insights from CRM data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions meet functional and technical requirements, balancing performance, security, and maintainability.
- Apply best practices for data governance, metadata management, and pipeline optimization.
- Key Responsibilities
- Core Skills Required
- Microsoft Dataverse – deep understanding of CRM data structures and integration patterns.
- Microsoft Fabric – hands-on experience with modern data engineering and orchestration in Fabric.
- Azure Data Factory (ADF) – strong expertise in pipeline development, orchestration, and performance tuning.
- Medallion Architecture – proven experience in designing layered data lake architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
- Familiarity Required
- Terraform – for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
- Power BI – for semantic modeling and dashboard/report design.CRM / Sales Data Modeling – understanding of business logic, entities, and analytical KPIs in CRM systems.
- Additional Experience (Preferred)
- Exposure to Synapse Analytics and Kafka for advanced data orchestration and event streaming.
- Experience in optimizing data pipelines for large-scale CRM analytics workloads.
- The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in Azure data services with functional knowledge of CRM analytics. They can not only execute and optimize complex data pipelines but also design data models that translate CRM data into actionable business intelligence.
