About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with systems engineering, product, and global partners to design and implement software solutions for a service platform (Tools & SDK).
- Design and implement software solutions for a service platform (Tools & SDK).
- Develop, integrate, and maintain system-level software components for real-time and Linux-based automotive systems.
- Implement and enhance middleware, inter-process communication frameworks, and scheduling systems for hardware-agnostic, update-friendly vehicle services.
- Drive system design specifications, including state machines and sequence diagrams, and create testable system requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software and system-level issues with quality and integration engineers.
- Participate in a client-facing software systems engineering role.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience creating detailed system- and software-level requirements for complex products.
- MBSE experience with CATIA and StrictDoc (required) for documenting system/software architectures using SysML and UML.
- Experience with safety-critical / fault-tolerant automotive software (ISO 26262, AUTOSAR).
- Strong understanding of vehicle networking — ADAS and cockpit architecture, ECU architecture, and validation of distributed vehicle software features.
- Strong Python and C++ (heavy emphasis on Python).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization, and DevOps tooling.
- Proficiency with modern build systems and CI/CD (e.g., Bazel, GitHub/GitLab).
- Experience leading software projects and/or small teams.
- Embedded software experience in robotics, automotive, or related industries.
- Experience creating test, verification, or validation plans and methodologies.
- Automotive domain knowledge.
