About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Take telephone enquiries from clients and colleagues
  • Deal with email enquiries and allocate work to the appropriate team member
  • Assist with diary management of barristers
  • Ensure hearings and paperwork have fees agreed where appropriate
  • Regularly review the diary to check which trials remain effective
  • Allocate unallocated bookings according to available capacity
  • Work efficiently and accurately within the team to allocate bookings promptly

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Enthusiastic individual interested in working within an integrated barristers chambers
  • Experienced clerks are ideally sought, but applicants starting their clerking career are welcome
  • Innovative, creative and forward thinking
  • Strong professional outlook and appropriate character
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a team
