Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administrative & File Management
  • - Maintaining electronic and paper files, ensuring documents are accurately filed and organised.
  • - Supporting file opening, closing and archiving processes in line with firm procedures.
  • - Managing incoming post, scanning and distributing documents to relevant stakeholders.
  • - Uploading, editing and managing PDF documents and electronic files.

  • - Supporting the preparation, collation and indexing of legal documentation.
  • - Assisting with the production of both electronic and hard copy court bundles.
  • Team & Client Support
  • - Supporting lawyers and secretarial colleagues with a range of administrative requests.
  • - Assisting with the organisation of meetings, events, seminars and conferences.
  • - Booking travel, taxis, meeting rooms and couriers.
  • - Handling basic client correspondence and responding to meeting requests where appropriate.
  • - Answering calls and supporting team communications to ensure work is delivered promptly and efficiently.
  • Finance Administration
  • - Providing support with billing and finance administration activities.
  • - Assisting with expense submissions on behalf of fee earners.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Previous office-based administration experience.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with document management systems or case management systems.
  • Working knowledge of PDF editing software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to learn new skills.
  • A strong customer service focus and commitment to delivering high-quality support.
