About the role

  • Manage environmental compliance programs for 40+ US facilities
  • Focus on air permitting, environmental noise, refrigerant management, spill prevention, chemical inventory reporting, waste management
  • Oversee environmental consultants responsible for project execution
  • Offer technical and regulatory guidance and training
  • Build and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies
  • Oversee environmental due diligence assessments in support of financial transactions
  • Track findings and coordinate follow-up actions as needed
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and develop plans
  • Monitor environmental regulations relevant to the data center industry
  • Support the development of strategies for compliance with new requirements

Requirements

  • 5+ years working in environmental compliance
  • Specialized knowledge of Federal-level environmental requirements related to Clean Air Act, Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure, Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and refrigerant management
  • Ability to read, interpret, and communicate environmental regulatory requirements outlined in state and local regulations and site-specific environmental permits
  • Experience with environmental due diligence assessments
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or related technical discipline.
