About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain solutions across backend services, integrations, data flows, and Salesforce customizations
Serve as a technical partner and advisor to specialists across MuleSoft, backend, data, and Salesforce domains
Lead code reviews and technical discussions, improving quality, maintainability, and consistency
Own and improve CI/CD pipelines, environment and branch management, and production deployments
Build and maintain Salesforce integrations with external systems using MuleSoft and APIs
Develop Python backend logic, data processing, and automation
Design PostgreSQL data models, queries, and performance improvements
Leverage AWS for hosting, compute, and cloud services
Explore and evaluate technologies that improve engineering practices
Ramp into Salesforce development and configuration
Troubleshoot production issues across systems and drive resolution
Mentor engineers, share knowledge, and raise the team’s technical standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of professional software engineering experience
Track record of principal- or staff-level technical contribution
Strong general-purpose programming skills and computer-science fundamentals
Hands-on experience with at least three of: Python or comparable backend language; relational databases such as PostgreSQL; cloud infrastructure ideally AWS; integration or middleware platforms such as MuleSoft; JavaScript and modern web development
Ability to design and reason about system architecture and integrations across multiple platforms
Strong code-review skills and high standards for code quality and engineering practices
Ability to partner with and constructively challenge experienced engineers without formal authority
Practical experience with CI/CD, Git, and production deployments
Excellent communication skills for explaining technical trade-offs and giving constructive feedback
Ability to onboard quickly into unfamiliar codebases and systems
Drive and ambition with a demonstrated pattern of seeking greater scope, responsibility, and career growth
