About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Acquire new members through community event activity to generate leads and referrals
- Assess customer needs for products and services using probing questions and listening skills
- Service existing members and handle inquiries about product utilization and benefits
- Cross-sell ancillary and other applicable products to existing members
- Retain existing members
- Maintain knowledge of CMS and state regulations
- Multitask and use a computer while interacting with prospects and members by phone
- Capture relevant information in the Customer Relationship Management system
- Meet sales goals, conversion rates, and cross-sell rates
- Contact prospective members within prescribed time limits
- Achieve member retention targets
- Maintain high member satisfaction
- Develop expert understanding of company products, services, and processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4-year college degree or 1 to 2 years consumer sales experience
- Prior Medicare sales experience preferred but not required
- Life & Health insurance license required within 60 days from employment start date
- Active use of computer for daily job activities
- Ability to multitask while talking on the phone
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Self-starter with positive attitude
- Adaptable to high pressure, achievement-oriented environment
- Drive to build, manage, and grow a book of business
- High level of computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to pass AHIP Continued Education, Product Certification, Security and Compliance, Client/Carrier Certifications, and required CMS Certifications annually
