About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services
  • Support various drug distribution systems for long-term care centers
  • Ensure appropriate drug products reach customers efficiently and safely
  • Contribute to pharmacy management goals and objectives within the dispensing pharmacy
  • Prioritize workflow and provide outstanding customer service
  • Lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and service
  • Work as an integral member of the pharmacy team
  • Work Monday–Friday from 3pm–11pm
  • Participate in weekend and on-call rotations every sixth week

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy required
  • Current license to practice pharmacy in good standing
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • At least two (2) years of long-term care experience preferred
  • Immunization certification or willingness to become immunization certified
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently to plan, develop and coordinate pharmacy activities
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex topics using reasoning abilities to apply advanced mathematical concepts and draw valid conclusions
  • Knowledge of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacist guidelines for practice
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations and drug indicators for long-term care centers
  • Knowledge of all government regulations impacting pharmacy
