About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services
- Support various drug distribution systems for long-term care centers
- Ensure appropriate drug products reach customers efficiently and safely
- Contribute to pharmacy management goals and objectives within the dispensing pharmacy
- Prioritize workflow and provide outstanding customer service
- Lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and service
- Work as an integral member of the pharmacy team
- Work Monday–Friday from 3pm–11pm
- Participate in weekend and on-call rotations every sixth week
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy required
- Current license to practice pharmacy in good standing
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- At least two (2) years of long-term care experience preferred
- Immunization certification or willingness to become immunization certified
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently to plan, develop and coordinate pharmacy activities
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex topics using reasoning abilities to apply advanced mathematical concepts and draw valid conclusions
- Knowledge of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacist guidelines for practice
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations and drug indicators for long-term care centers
- Knowledge of all government regulations impacting pharmacy
