About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services
Support various drug distribution systems for long-term care centers
Ensure appropriate drug products reach customers efficiently and safely
Contribute to pharmacy management goals and objectives within the dispensing pharmacy
Prioritize workflow and provide outstanding customer service
Lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and service
Work as an integral member of the pharmacy team
Work Monday–Friday from 3pm–11pm
Participate in weekend and on-call rotations every sixth week

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy required
Current license to practice pharmacy in good standing
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
At least two (2) years of long-term care experience preferred
Immunization certification or willingness to become immunization certified
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently to plan, develop and coordinate pharmacy activities
Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex topics using reasoning abilities to apply advanced mathematical concepts and draw valid conclusions
Knowledge of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacist guidelines for practice
Knowledge of state and federal regulations and drug indicators for long-term care centers
Knowledge of all government regulations impacting pharmacy
