About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the technical design, modernization, and execution of Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management and Billing platforms
Transition legacy architectures into distributed cloud microservices, real-time messaging pipelines, and high-throughput data/API integrations
Build and architect solutions across claims processing and invoicing systems
Leverage Azure SQL Managed Instance, Postgres, Snowflake, Kafka, Azure Service Bus, Azure Data Factory, Terraform, Kargo/Argo, and New Relic
Author engineering best practices and champion clean code and system documentation
Drive test automation
Mentor Associate Software Engineers and conduct code reviews
Partner with product leaders and solution architects to deliver resilient, secure, HIPAA-compliant healthcare software
Operate with minimal supervision

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of professional software development experience building scalable enterprise applications
Strong proficiency in at least one backend language, such as C#/.NET, Python, Java, TypeScript, or Go
Hands-on proficiency with Azure SQL Managed Instance, Postgres, and Snowflake
Experience with Kafka and Azure Service Bus messaging architectures
Experience with Azure Data Factory
Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform
Experience with GitOps deployment tools such as Kargo and Argo CD/Argo Workflows
Experience with enterprise APM and observability platforms such as New Relic
Strong technical writing abilities and experience creating system documentation, technical designs, API specifications, and operational runbooks
Demonstrated experience mentoring Associate-level software engineers and conducting code reviews
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related STEM field, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred: hands-on experience with AI coding tools
Preferred: Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management, claims management, invoicing platforms, cloud modernization, HIPAA, HITRUST, data masking, and secure PHI handling
