About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and modify components of new and existing IT systems and vendor offerings to promote integrated corporate business systems
- Design, support, and deploy mechanisms to enhance, refine, and deliver the architecture vision
- Design, build, and operate scalable, highly secure APIs, microservices, and enterprise integration solutions
- Develop modern microservices while supporting and evolving legacy enterprise middleware services
- Architect and manage high-volume, secure, and compliant integration solutions for data exchange, reporting, and connectivity across healthcare systems
- Drive modernization of integration platforms while ensuring stability, scalability, and operational excellence
- Research and propose innovative technical integration strategies and solutions
- Collaborate with Project Managers and technical directors to provide estimates and develop implementation solution plans
- Serve as a technical lead as required
- Provide lab and vendor support
- Develop frameworks, standards, and reference material for architecture and associated products
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of experience as a technical lead developing middleware integration solutions or architecting large-scale federated systems
- 4+ years of experience in enterprise, application, and information architecture methodologies and design, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 4+ years of experience with architectural abstractions and design patterns
- 3+ years of experience designing complex integrations focused on performance engineering and loose coupling using APIs and services
- 1+ years of experience with an API Management Platform such as APIC, APIM, Apigee, or Kong
- Strong experience with Kong API Gateway or other API management platforms such as Apigee, APIC, or Azure APIM
- 5+ years of technical exposure to SOA, middleware, messaging, APIs, and REST-based services
- 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Technical Lead applying architecture blueprints and aligning projects to enterprise standards
- Application development experience with REST API, SOA, Java, and J2EE frameworks
- 2+ years of experience with architecture design tools and middleware technologies
- Ability to assess the impact of architecture changes on the business, application relationships, and formation flow
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems using message queues, Kafka, or related technologies in mobile/portal environments
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
- High School Diploma/GED plus 4 years of relevant experience as an alternative educational pathway
