About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Make inbound and outbound calls to members and providers to schedule healthcare visits, screenings, vaccinations, and medication refills
  • Work through barriers that prevent members from achieving good health
  • Deliver a professional and empathetic member experience
  • Educate members to support informed health decisions and improve health outcomes
  • Explain benefits related to screenings, medications, activities, and follow-up care
  • Assist members with appointments, medication refills, and health-service resources
  • Accurately document conversations in members’ health records
  • Answer questions, resolve issues, and escalate issues when needed
  • Meet business metrics and performance goals
  • Complete four weeks of virtual training, potentially on a different shift temporarily

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Professional communication skills
  • Strong active listening and interpersonal skills
  • High computer literacy, including ability to troubleshoot issues
  • Proficiency with Windows, web-based applications, and digital communication tools
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection of at least 50 Mbps
  • Suitable remote workspace
  • Hard-wired computer connectivity; DSL, satellite, and wireless broadband are not permitted
  • Applicants must reside in KY, LA, VA, or IL
  • Ability to work one of the following shifts: 9a–5:30p, 10a–6:30p, 11a–7:30p, 12p–8:30p, or 1p–9:30p
  • Bilingual or multilingual candidates heavily preferred
  • Experience with HEDIS screening measures preferred
  • Experience with behavior change preferred
  • Experience in a mental health background preferred
  • Experience in community health preferred
  • 1+ year of experience with production expectations or high-volume calls heavily preferred
  • 2+ years of experience with call center or outreach involving members/consumers
  • 3+ years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Medical certification such as certified nursing assistant or medical assistant preferred
  • Ability to work independently, apply critical thinking, multitask, prioritize, adapt to a fast-paced changing environment, and maintain professionalism
