About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with Specialty Trade and pharmaceutical manufacturer clients to conceive and deliver differentiated specialty pharmacy services
- Design patient journeys and omnichannel product delivery solutions for assigned disease portfolios
- Develop strategies to drive value, secure access to limited distribution drugs, launch specialty drugs, and execute company initiatives
- Serve as the enterprise clinical subject matter expert for assigned therapies and monitor portfolio pipeline and marketplace trends
- Collaborate with Trade, Pharmacy Trade Product, Specialty Operations, Account Management, Professional Practice, Prescriber Sales, and other teams
- Develop manufacturer relationships and present clinical services and therapy capabilities to secure product access and market share
- Generate omnichannel pharmacy care delivery solutions and customizable patient adherence programs
- Provide clinical expertise for business initiatives and strategic planning
- Analyze clinical trends and projections to formulate new programs, products, and services
- Develop pharmacy care programs and products using market intelligence, clinical trends, client requests, and innovation
- Identify value opportunities for strategic manufacturer accounts and enhance client offerings using enterprise assets
- Manage and optimize therapy portfolios throughout the product life cycle, including drug launches and continuity-of-care solutions
- Present market intelligence, trends, and opportunities during client-facing business reviews
- Monitor the specialty pharmaceutical pipeline and products seeking FDA approval over the next three years
- Deliver internal and external clinical education, therapy awareness programs, operational trainings, and other clinical training
- Participate in industry conferences and stay current on market developments
- Engage with specialty pharmacy patients to understand challenges and create improved CVS Specialty experiences
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active pharmacist license in good standing
- 8+ years of healthcare-related experience
- 3+ years of Clinical Specialty Pharmacy experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel
- Ability to travel approximately 15% of the time
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and communication skills
- Strong presentation skills for conveying ideas, persuading audiences, and engaging stakeholders
- Ability to adjust presentation style for virtual or live audiences
- Ability to collaborate across boundaries with internal colleagues and external clients
- Strong clinical background and aptitude to learn new therapies and drug products
- High level of independent judgment and initiative
- Strategic judgment, critical thinking, and creativity
- Knowledge and confidence to present to and interact with leadership and large audiences
- Strong project management skills, attention to detail, follow-up, and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
