About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operates at the intersection of Information Security strategy, long-range planning, and organizational health
- Drives strategic and long-range planning, owns the operating rhythm that keeps leadership aligned and decisions moving
- Leads internal communications that make complex security work clear across the organization
- Partners with leadership on talent and engagement initiatives that strengthen and retain the SecEng workforce
- Translates priorities into durable operating mechanisms, executive-ready narratives, measurable execution plans, and the cadence and communications that help Security Engineering scale with clarity, accountability, and business impact
- Leads multi-year strategy and long-range planning for OSE — translating executive priorities into strategy roadmaps, OKRs, quarterly priorities, program charters, milestones, dependency maps, risk registers, and measurable outcomes
- Coordinates across SecEng functions, Information Security partners, technology teams, finance, sourcing, HR, and business stakeholders to keep complex, multi-year initiatives aligned and moving
- Produces strategy documents, business cases, decision memos, and executive presentations that are clear and actionable for senior leaders
- Owns and runs the SecEng operating rhythm — designing and facilitating leadership meetings, business reviews, team offsites, and strategic workshops that align our operating cadence with priorities
- Builds executive presentations and storytelling materials with clear, compelling narratives for senior leaders
- Supports business operations that keep the organization running with clarity and accountability
- Leads internal communications for SecEng, including executive messaging, org-wide updates, town halls, and change communications that make strategy, priorities, and progress clear and actionable across the organization
- Partners with leadership and HR on talent and engagement initiatives, driving programs that strengthen culture and retain the SecEng team
- Connects communications and engagement to the operating cadence so the organization stays informed, aligned, and motivated.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience working in a chief-of-staff, strategy & operations, strategic planning, business operations, program management, or internal communications capacity for senior leaders
- Experience designing and running an operating cadence — decision forums, planning cadences, and intake and prioritization mechanisms — that improves operating models and keeps cross-functional work moving
- Demonstrated experience with long-range planning and business reviews, with the ability to convert ambiguous executive priorities into structured, measurable plans and durable operating mechanisms
- Experience planning and producing strategic offsites, leadership workshops, and team events end to end, including agenda design, content preparation, logistics, facilitation, and follow-up
- Experience supporting functional leaders through business operations such as operating reviews, capacity analysis, and decision support
- Experience leading talent and engagement initiatives that strengthen organizational health, culture, and retention
- Experience building executive presentations and reporting that translate program progress and performance into clear narratives
- Experience leading internal communications for a senior leader organization, spanning executive messaging, org-wide updates, and change communications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make complex technical topics clear and compelling
- Strong collaboration, judgment, and influence skills, with the ability to drive alignment across teams without relying on direct authority.
