Pharmacy Care Technician
CVS HealthPharmacy Care Technician assisting with prescription processing and customer inquiries while working from home. Must live near Fairfield, NJ, and provide quality healthcare services.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in accurately reading, interpreting and entering prescriptions into the computer system
- Calculate doses and assignment of directions and accept proper insurance payment in a timely fashion
- Route incomplete or unclear prescriptions to the prescriber for clarification
- Enter incomplete prescription information once clarification has been obtained
- Assist with inbound phone calls and interact with customers
- Provide education and maintain the company's reputation for high-quality service
- New patient enrollment, verification of insurance coverage and perform benefit investigations
- Process medication orders for both new and existing patients
- Assess and identify routine issues for appropriate escalation to a pharmacist
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must live within 75 miles of Fairfield, New Jersey
- Six months experience in a pharmacy technician role
- Six months work experience with Windows-based applications like Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
- Six months computer keyboarding skills and aptitude
- Active Valid Pharmacy Technician License as required by the State of NJ
- Direct/hardwired internet connection to a modem/router within 7 feet of your computer with a minimum download speed of 25 mbs download and 3 mbs upload
