Pharmacy Care Technician

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in accurately reading, interpreting, and entering prescriptions into the computer system
- Calculate doses and assign directions
- Accept proper insurance payment in a timely fashion
- Route incomplete or unclear prescriptions to prescriber for clarification
- Enter incomplete prescription information once clarification is obtained
- Assist with inbound phone calls and interact with customers
- Cross-functional teamwork to answer questions, solve problems, and provide education
- Maintain company reputation for high-quality service
- New patient enrollment and verification of insurance coverage
- Perform benefit investigations and processing of medication orders for both new and existing patients.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must live in Idaho
- Six months experience in a pharmacy technician role
- Six months work experience with Windows-based applications like Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
- Six months computer keyboarding skills and aptitude
- Active Valid Pharmacy Technician Registration in the state of Idaho
- Direct/hardwired internet connection to a modem/router within 7 feet of computer
- Minimum download speed of 25 mbps download and 3 mbps upload
- Secure and private home workspace free from distractions.
