About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Execute communications strategies for federal and postal health plans, translating business and membership growth strategies into clear, consistent, and compliant messaging
Develop and deliver member communications, including newsletters, letters, postcards, brochures, presentations, website content, and digital materials
Lead Open Enrollment communications, including Mail Handlers Benefit Plan (MHBP) Open Season Seminar materials, presentations, webinars, and member collateral
Support client meetings, in‑person events, webinars, and virtual events by developing presentation materials and attending/hosting as needed
Develop training and presentation materials for field service representatives and open enrollment volunteers to ensure consistent execution
Ensure all communications comply internal requirements and external regulations; manage review and approval workflows and conduct quality checks for accuracy, brand alignment, and appropriateness
Collaborate cross‑functionally with strategy, compliance, legal, marketing, account management, and external vendors to deliver timely, integrated communications
Coordinate procurement of promotional items and branded materials to support outreach, events, and enrollment efforts

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years health insurance or industry experience
Health Insurance License required (or 90 day period to obtain)
Proven ability to collaborate effectively across communications, sales, and marketing partners to deliver results aligned with shared business goals
3+ years of experience in a communications discipline
Demonstrated strength in writing and editing across multiple communication formats, with the ability to deliver high‑quality work under tight deadlines
Strong execution and delivery skills, including planning, implementing, and supporting communications initiatives end to end
