About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, control preparation, and delivery of financial reports to business partners
Support quarter-end close activities, including STAT reporting and serving as a liaison for audit requests
Identify and implement opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency by reducing manual processes
Partner cross-functionally with Finance and Actuarial teams to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency in financial reporting
Support system enhancements and finance transformation initiatives, as applicable

Requirements

What you’ll need

2–4 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or financial analysis
Experience with Microsoft Excel with intermediate to advanced skills (e.g., lookups, SUMIFS, pivot tables)
Experience in healthcare or insurance preferred
Working knowledge of GAAP and STAT reporting
Experience with large financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Excel4Apps)
Prior experience supporting balance sheet accounts and/or STAT reporting
Experience with SQL
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
