About the role
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Partner with senior leadership to define and execute the engineering strategy and ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives.
- Engage with key stakeholders—including business leaders, clients, and partners—to gather requirements, clarify expectations, and align priorities.
- Establish and enforces quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-performing, reliable solutions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that project goals are aligned with business objectives and that all efforts are coordinated.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any issues that arise.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding.
- Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Identify potential risks and challenges in projects and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
- Manage a team of high performing engineers, provide mentorship, fostering professional growth, and ensuring team effectiveness.
- Contribute to solution design and architecture, collaborating with product teams, architects, and senior engineers.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience with designing and building highly scalable software engineering solutions.
- 3+ years of experience managing engineers.
- 5+ years of experience with Java, Spring / Spring boot frameworks
- 5+ years of experience in independently managing deliverables
- 3+ years of Experience in microservices architecture.
- 3+ years of exposure to any of the leading cloud platforms (GCP, Azure or AWS)
- Functional knowledge and experience of Pharmacy
- Excellent communications skills with ability to communicate effectively in visual, verbal, and written form
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)
