Designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions for managing and optimizing Db2z and IMS databases
Implementing structural changes through environments and access method analysis
Optimizing Db2z resource utilization by tuning queries and recommending indexes
Processing Database Support Requests and Change requests in production and non-production environments
Building and implementing database backup and recovery strategies
Preparing disaster recovery (DR) documentation and participating in DR activities
Maintaining complex zOS Db2 databases with respect to JCL, DDL, Security and Db2 customer support
Providing technical training and consultation to other members of the IT organization
Supporting day-to-day monitoring and maintenance activities for Db2 z/OS
Responding to Audit requests and providing necessary documentation

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience with Db2 z/OS administration
3+ years with Db2 Administration Tools, Query Monitor, and Db2 Omegamon
3+ years with SQL – Intermediate to Advanced experience with zOS Db2 performance tuning
3+ years with JCL and scheduling DBA jobs
3+ years with 24 X 7 Oncall support rotation
At least 1 year of data replication design and support skillset in a complex computing environment
