About the role
- Manages accounting functions and financial reporting for HCB segment
- Oversees preparation of financial statements and balance sheets
- Partners with Enterprise Finance to execute finance technology roadmap
- Assists in management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting
- Utilizes financial data to develop strategy and forecast opportunities
- Ensures financial results are accurate and compliant with government regulations
- Delegates accounting tasks to staff
- Collaborates in a matrixed organization
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in accounting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Ability to prioritize tasks and time management
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Solid understanding of GAAP and insurance accounting
- Experience managing Sarbanes Oxley processes
- Knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools
- Expertise in operational accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams
- CPA Active License
