About the role
- Serve as a strategic leader driving enterprise-wide pharmacy advocacy and innovative pharmacy initiatives with Boards of Pharmacy.
- Shape and influence pharmacy practice regulations across multiple states.
- Build trusted relationships with regulatory bodies and ensure alignment with organization priorities.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the pharmacy business, manage competing priorities, excel at deductive reasoning, and work collaboratively across the enterprise.
- Provide forward-thinking guidance, anticipate regulatory trends, and deliver innovative solutions.
- Manage relationships with Boards of Pharmacy across 12-16 states.
- Represent CVS Health at Board meetings and conferences, present strategic initiatives, support licensure applications, and address inquiries.
- Educate Boards on national and state legislative trends, propose rulemaking, and secure favorable interpretations to advance enterprise objectives.
- Mentor and develop direct reports, fostering accountability, collaboration, and excellence in advocacy execution.
Requirements
- Pharmacy Degree: BS Pharm or PharmD
- 8+ years pharmacy and healthcare experience, including knowledge of and experience regulatory laws
- Experience advising on pharmacy, healthcare issues
- Proven track record of influencing others with and without authority
- Ability to think about the impact of decisions on the broader enterprise
- Consistently demonstrates strong executive presence
- Demonstrated business judgment and acumen
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- High level of interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple client areas
- Superior problem-solving skills.
- Located or willing to relocate to the East Coast
- Currently licensed as a Registered Pharmacist
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Travel- Ability, and willingness, to travel regularly 40% of time.
