About the role

  • Support strategy, delivery, and governance of enterprise database services at CVS Health
  • Translate business and application needs into product roadmaps for scalable, automated, secure database platforms
  • Manage backlogs, partner with engineers and architects, and prioritize work for database services
  • Drive product strategy, vision, and backlog management for enterprise database services
  • Use customer feedback, analytics, and data-driven insights to inform product direction and define success metrics
  • Collaborate to optimize how applications use and share data across AWS, Azure, GCP, private cloud, and on-premises platforms
  • Engage in validation activities and break down complex problems into actionable tasks
  • Support automation, DevOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices and ensure execution of standards and governance requirements

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in product management or related roles supporting databases, data platforms, or enterprise applications
  • Practical experience with data-intensive applications where data is shared across large and diverse user populations
  • Familiarity with APIs and integration approaches across at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP, private cloud, or on-premises)
  • Working knowledge of automation and DevOps practices that support reliable database delivery
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, architecture, security, and business teams
  • Experience in creating and maintaining product roadmaps tied to customer and enterprise outcomes
  • Solid technical understanding of database platforms and data services and how applications consume and share data across cloud and on-premises environments
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders and build alignment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decisions
  • Preferred: Exposure to AI/ML data workloads and use cases
  • Preferred: Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
  • Preferred: Background in database migration, modernization, and performance optimization projects
  • Preferred: Knowledge of multiple database technologies, including SQL, NoSQL, and cloud-managed services
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (Master’s degree or MBA preferred)
