Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations with supporting documentation.
Maintain accounting databases by recording data into the accounting/AP processing system with completed documentation.
Assist in the completion of monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes including performing closing entries and supporting working papers.
Provide assistance with ad hoc projects and reports.
Provide assistance with the annual audit.
Document all transactions with sufficient support for future audits.
Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related tasks needed.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong understanding of IFRS and core accounting principles and procedures.
Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
An undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role required.
CPA designation complete or in progress is considered an asset.
