About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Collaboration with auditors, tax advisors and external consultants
- Handling accrual and deferral entries (receivables, provisions, prepaid expenses and deferred income, etc.)
- Support during tax authority audits
- Preparation of preliminary VAT returns
- Reconciliation of the general ledger and sub-ledgers
- Optimization of finance processes and workflows
- Participation in process design projects, including enhancement of the ERP software
- Involvement in the development of policies and support for their implementation
- Close collaboration with management and external advisors (e.g., auditors, tax inspectors)
Requirements
What you’ll need- Commercial vocational training or a degree in business/economics
- Relevant further qualifications are a plus (e.g., Geprüfter Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) or Steuerfachwirt), but not mandatory
- Relevant professional experience in accounting
- Preferably experience in the tasks described above
- Experience with an ERP system
- Team player with an independent, self-motivated working style
